, PhD , is an avid singer and muscian, who did not grow up in the Mennonite church, but who has developed a profound respect and love of its four-part, acapella musical tradition. As a young high school student in concert choir and Madrigal group, he developed a strong sense of the power of music and its ability to cross all known boundaries. He sees the MSMH as a way to allow young people and adults alike to come together in sharing the beauty of music, and to experience its power to transcend any problems. Dr. Ferguson is a Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Colorado, Denver Campus, and an occasional composer/arranger.
