3rd - 4th - 5th - 6th - 7th - 8th - 9th Graders 
The Mennonite Society of Musical Heritage (MSMH) is again sponsoring an opportunity for area 3rd -9th graders to join the 2009 "Young Voices for Peace" choir. Singers are encouraged to invite friends to join the choir as well. Third through fifth graders will be directed by Mrs. Kate Klotz and sixth through ninth graders will be directed by Mrs. Emily Martin. Welcome to our 2nd season of Young Voices for Peace. As you will see by the schedule, under 'Upcoming Events,' our first rehearsal is on January 25. Happily, Dr. Sue, who was last year's conductor, and her husband have their baby Gracie! Sadly, this means Dr. Sue is on leave right now and will not be directing with us this year. A wonderful new director, Mrs. Kate Klotz, will be directing the 3rd-5th graders and I will be directing the 6th-9th. I am looking at music. We’ll be doing a Hebrew piece from the Old Testament, there may be a spiritual and some modern pieces. Kate and I will be discussing the two groups doing a song or hymn together this year as well. 
Welcome to the 2nd season of Young Voices for Peace! My name is Kate Klotz, and I will be directing the 3rd-5th grade choir this year. I am an elementary music teacher in Longmont, Colorado, and I am very excited to be a part of Young Voices for Peace. We are going to have a great time together!
